{There's nothing special about Lebanese cuisine,} {there's something special about Lebanon itself.} {Kamal Mouzawak, I'm from Beirut, Lebanon.} {I'm the founder of Souk el Tayeb.} {The concept of the other does not exist} {because it's a country that is half Christian,} {half Muslim, half mountain, half sea.} {This diversity makes this place extraordinary.} {It's translated in the way we live and} {the way we cook and the way we eat,} {which makes it very,} {very diverse,} {colorful and interesting.} {To change the world to a better place.} {Souk el Tayeb is a project that was created in 2004 and it has to do} {with development around food and agriculture through a farmer's market,} {a farmer's kitchen for women cook and domestic cuisine.} {It's a celebration of the local produce,} {it's a celebration of the seasons and by perpetuating} {traditions through agriculture and through the cuisine itself.} {Kamal Muzawak, I'm from Beirut.} {It is for the consumer to understand that food is not a} {commodity product that money buys on supermarket shelf,} {but something that he or she produced,} {harvested and cooked.} {People migrate around the world.} {They don't take their costume with them,} {they don't take their architecture,} {they just take their own cuisine,} {which gets to be later on the cuisine of the place itself.} {How can you build alone?} {If you need to build a better life for} {oneself or a better world for yourself,} {you need to build with others.} {Whether we are from different politics or different religions,} {there is nothing like food who can bring} {people together around a common ground.} {Thank you, Kamal.} {Now we have time to eat.} {Thanks, man.}
